Current approach

Purchase compatible hardware separately

Customers currently purchase and own compatible hardware separately. Use this guide to assemble the setup, then let ArrivSure review your iPad, stand, optional license-positioning aid, printer, connection method, and badge stock as one complete system before you order.

Planned

ArrivSure-supplied kits

Optional ArrivSure hardware kits are planned but are not currently available for purchase. Contents, timing, pricing, shipping, and support terms have not been finalized.

Important purchasing information: ArrivSure does not currently sell, fulfill, or warrant the third-party products linked on this page. ArrivSure supports its software and documented setup; manufacturers and retailers handle orders, pricing, availability, shipping, returns, repairs, and hardware warranties. Manufacturer links are provided for convenience and do not imply a partnership or manufacturer certification.
Step 1 · iPad

Current-generation iPads meet the app requirement

ArrivSure Kiosk requires iPadOS 26.0 or later. For a new station, the current base-model Wi-Fi iPad is the most straightforward choice; the exact enclosure still needs to match the device. Both orientations are supported, with landscape as the preferred starting point for most installations.

Current models that meet the published OS requirement

These are Apple's current iPad families as of the review date. Meeting the OS requirement does not mean every stand, printer, and network combination has been tested together.

iPad (A16)11-inch

Straightforward default for most new kiosks

iPad mini (A17 Pro)8.3-inch

Compact option; use a model-specific enclosure

iPad Air (M4)11-inch or 13-inch

Use the enclosure made for the exact size

iPad Pro (M5)11-inch or 13-inch

Use the enclosure made for the exact size

  • Confirm the device can install the current required iPadOS version.
  • Match the stand to the exact iPad name, generation, and size.
  • Plan for landscape (horizontal) by default; use portrait when the installed space or workflow calls for it.
  • Keep the front and rear cameras available for the configured workflow.
  • Plan reliable Wi-Fi and continuous charging at the kiosk location.
Step 2 · Stand

Bosstab options for countertop, wall, and floor deployments

Bosstab's model-specific Elite line covers lockable countertop, wall, and floor installations, while its Touch line offers a minimalist adhesive-mounted path. The other manufacturer options may fit different mounting or printer needs. Every choice is still a physical-fit decision—not a claim that each variant is certified or tested by ArrivSure.

Bosstab · Lockable countertop

Elite Evo

Manufacturer-listed fit—confirm build

A lockable enclosure with internal cable management for a secured counter kiosk. Bosstab's separate license-positioning bundle is available for the Elite family.

Bosstab · Minimal countertop

Touch Evo

Universal mount—confirm setup

A clean, case-free stand with fixed or adjustable and freestanding or screw-mount choices. Best suited to supervised counters where a lockable enclosure is not required.

Manufacturer fitUniversal mount; manufacturer lists iPad 11-inch (A16) and other current models—confirm the exact device and mounting choice
Important limitUses an adhesive-backed direct attachment and is not a lockable enclosure. The Elite ID Holder bundle does not fit the Touch holder.

Bosstab · Floor-standing + optional printer bracket

Elite Evo Floor Stand & Accessories Bundle

Manufacturer option—confirm printer

A lockable floor kiosk with internal cable routing and configurable accessory brackets. The Brother printer and license-positioning bundle are separate purchases.

Bouncepad · Floor-standing badge kiosk

Original Floorstanding + Brother Printer Mount

Before ordering a stand: choose the installed orientation—landscape is preferred when possible—then use the manufacturer's model selector, preserve access to any camera your workflow needs, confirm how power reaches the iPad, and decide whether the base must be fixed, weighted, tethered, or lockable. Software support for both orientations does not guarantee that every enclosure or accessory works in both. A license holder is not universal: the Bosstab option below requires a matching Elite tablet holder, and the selected bundle supplies its model-specific camera cutout.
Optional add-on · License positioning

Give visitors a consistent place to position a license

ArrivSure uses the iPad's rear camera for optional front-and-back image capture and available PDF417/AAMVA barcode fields. A model-specific holder can make placement easier and more repeatable; it does not add a separate scanner or identity-verification system.

Bosstab · Elite-family positioning bundle

Elite ID Holder & Camera Cutout Bundle

Optional—confirm full Elite setup

A rear-mounted metal holder positions a license in view of the iPad's rear camera for more repeatable placement. It is a physical alignment aid, not an electronic reader.

Manufacturer fitRequires a matching Bosstab Elite tablet holder. Select the bundle variant made for the exact iPad; the bundle supplies the model-specific rear-camera cutout
Capture methodArrivSure uses the iPad rear camera to capture the image and available PDF417/AAMVA barcode fields
Important limitDoes not authenticate a license, verify identity, perform age verification, use facial recognition, or make an entry decision.

Confirm the complete setup first: Bosstab's published model details vary across its accessory pages, so confirm the exact Elite tablet holder, bundle variant, iPad, installed orientation, and accessory SKU with Bosstab and ArrivSure. For a rotating stand, lock it in the validated position during capture. Then test front-and-back capture, barcode extraction, card stability, camera framing, focus and glare, immediate card return, reachable one-handed use, clear instructions, adequate retry time, and a staff-assisted alternative before rollout.
Sensitive-data checkpoint

Enable license capture only for a defined need. Before rollout, confirm the visitor-facing notice and any required consent, who can access the data, retention and deletion settings, session clearing between visitors, and a no-capture or manual path where policy allows. Review the Privacy Policy and Trust Center with your own legal and compliance requirements.

Steps 3 & 4 · Badge printing

Use an exact printer model and an approved roll

The printer's physical capabilities, the ArrivSure connection method, and the badge-template fit are separate checks. Do not treat “Brother QL” as universal compatibility.

Brother · Recommended badge printer

Hardware FAQ

Answers before you order

Can we use an iPad we already own?

Possibly. The ArrivSure Kiosk app currently requires iPadOS 26.0 or later. We will also confirm the exact iPad model, camera access, stand fit, power, and intended workflow before you rely on an existing device.

Does the kiosk have to be landscape?

ArrivSure supports landscape and portrait. For most new kiosk setups, start with landscape when the stand, camera access, available space, and any accessories allow it. Portrait remains supported when it better fits the counter, wall, or floor placement. Choose and test the installed orientation before ordering or mounting the stand and accessories.

Does ArrivSure sell hardware today?

Customers currently purchase and own compatible hardware separately. Optional ArrivSure hardware kits are planned but are not currently available for purchase. No timing, contents, or pricing have been finalized.

Will any Brother QL printer work?

Do not assume that every Brother QL model is compatible. ArrivSure currently recommends the QL-820NWB and QL-820NWBc after the exact connection method and badge setup are confirmed.

Which badge roll should we order?

It depends on the approved badge design. Badge size affects text, photo, QR-code placement, and cutting behavior. ArrivSure will confirm the roll for your selected template before you order in volume.

Are the linked stands certified by ArrivSure?

No certification or manufacturer partnership is implied. They are practical options to consider based on manufacturer-stated fit. Confirm the exact enclosure variant and iPad model before purchasing.

Do we need a separate driver's-license scanner?

No separate electronic reader is required for ArrivSure's current iPad-camera workflow. A configured check-in can capture the front and back of a supported U.S. or Canadian driver's license and extract available PDF417/AAMVA barcode fields for authorized staff review. A physical holder can make placement more repeatable, but it does not authenticate the license, verify identity, perform age verification, or make an entry decision.

Can the Bosstab license holder attach to any stand?

No. The Elite ID Holder & Camera Cutout Bundle belongs to Bosstab's Elite family and must match the exact Elite tablet holder and iPad; the selected bundle includes the model-specific rear-camera cutout. It is not an add-on for the Bosstab Touch line or other manufacturers' stands. Confirm the entire stand, tablet holder, bundle variant, iPad, and orientation before ordering.
